#16 A Healthy Lifestyle Is A Goal In Itself

Welcome to the Cleanse & Fitness home remedy detox program #16 :-)

Always drink plenty of water (if you can't drink a gallon a day, then stay hydrated to avoid being thirsty)

1) my liver detox on empty stomach first thing when i wake up: mix drinking water, lemon, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper & drink up.
2) Breakfast - My homemade pancakes ingredients. I use no already made pancake mix. I create my own pancake mix:
Cup of gluten free oatmeal
2 tbsp of red quinoa
Half a banana
Tbsp of almond butter (i hate peanut butter, but if you like it, then go for it)
1 scoop of gluten free vanilla protein powder
1 tbsp of whole ground flax seeds
1 tbsp of super green drink powder
1/2 tsp of propolis (pasty bee pollen)
Pumpkin seeds (3 finger size)
Half of an apple
5 strawberries
1/2 tsp of D-Ribose (i'm gonna have a long physical flamenco rehearsal today so this ingredient is optional for you)
1 tbsp of coconut oil
5 to 6 eggwhites
Shake the cinnamon powder six times from it's shaker container
Almond milk if it's to thick
~ throw some coconut or olive oil on the pan, and make your healthy delish pancakes.
Serve under organic pure maple syrup or agave. Breakfast is ready :-)
3) My workout: flamenco rehearsal earlier (running choreography & doing drills), & will do straight forward resistance after my siesta (from head to toe :-). I always change up my workouts because I get bored fast so when I change it up, I get super excited about my workouts & the foods I eat :-)

4) Lunch: two containers of my green drink done in my nutri-bullet which contains
All fresh Organic, Spinach, Kale, Celery, Parsley, Carrots, Apple, Banana, Blueberries, Strawberries, Quinoa, Chia, Whole Grounded Flaxseeds, Chlorophyll, Bee Pollen, Spirulina Powder, Freeze Dried Wheat Grass,Super  Green Drink Powder berry flavored, Gluten-Free Vanilla Protein Powder, Coconut Oil, Egg White, Almond  Milk, Carnitine Powder, Glutamine Powder, Pumpkin Seeds.
5) Always have snacks handy like fresh raw veggies & fruits, some nuts. Google 'creative healthy raw snacks', that way you don't get bored :-).
Today I snacked on celery & carrot sticks  with almond butter. Niam niam. Yummers!

6) i had unexpected guest, & to avoid eating out, i made her some rice pasta with raw pasta sauce on the nutri-bullet using the two blades:
Two roma tomatoes
One ounce cut up fresh garlic, one ounce cut up fresh onions, olive one tbsp xtra virg olive oil, 3 dash shakes of cumin seed powder, 3 dash shakes of ginger powder (i ran out if fresh ginger, darn), himalayan salt about 4 dash shakes.
This is how it came out. It's delish and serve over rice or my favorite, quinoa pasta (make sure the rice or quinoa pasta is pure and it doesn't contain cornstarch).
I tasted a lilttle, & it was yummy

#15 A Healthy Lifestyle Is A Goal In Itself

Welcome to the Cleanse & Fitness home remedy detox program #15 :-)

Always drink plenty of water (if you can't drink a gallon a day, then stay hydrated to avoid being thirsty)

1) wake up, first thing on an empty stomach, I take my liver cleanser (recipes on previous blog posts)
2) breakfast is gluten-free oatmeal, red quinoa, almonds, pumpkin seeds, hot water & almond milk (kind of felt like a hot cereal today). Along with that is a cup of green tea. Here's a yummy pic of it
3) today's workout before i go teach a seminar & Mt St Mary's College is Vinyasa Flow Yoga & Mat Pilates :-)

4) my workouts today were amazing: i took two my coworker's classes. One was an intense bucket sweating yoga class with hand & head stands. It was powerful & it really tested my strength. The lengthening part of it was tough as well. I highly highly recommend yoga to those that lift. You will literally feed your muscles the oxygen they need.
Then after yoga, I took a fun, sculpting mat pilates class from another coworker. Using muscle strength while lengthening it simultaniously is one of the best things in pilates :-). Also highly recommend it.!

5) my lunch: green drink (used one of my recipes previously shown in my other blogs. You can find it there). And i also had a bowl of black beans. No salt, just boiled with cilantro, onions & garlic :-)
Here my green drink
Here my black beans. I was craving black beans. I also added pico de gallo salsa i made (chopped tomatoes, onions, garlic, cilantro, & half of serrano pepper. Mix all together with squeezed lime & a lil bit of himalayan salt). It was delish :-)

#14 A Healthy Lifestyle Is A Goal In Itself

Welcome to the Cleanse & Fitness home remedy detox program #14 :-)

Always drink plenty of water (if you can't drink a gallon a day, then stay hydrated to avoid being thirsty)

1) drink liver, detox cleanser (recipe on post #13).
2) my breakfast is a mixed bowl of: gluten-free oatmeal, grounded flax seeds, organic plums, red quinoa, super green drink powder berry flavor, gluten-free vanilla protein powder, almond milk.
In this picture, this is before i add the almond milk & mix it all together, just for presentation:
3) My workout: (haven't thought of one yet. I'll get back to you to see what I did).

Workout: flamenco drills with plyometrics, cardio dance (getting routines ready to teach, so I used it also as my workout).
Did triceps, biceps, shoulders, core, legs (lateral),  tomorrow i will do back & legs (frontal).
I definitely didn't get bored with my workout :-)

4) lunch & snack: green drinks were my lunch which consisted of brocolli, spinach, kale, parsley, almond milk, blueberries, gluten-free vanilla protein powder, bee pollen, goji berries, apple, water. Yummy :-).
My snack was lightly broiled crunchy brocolli with onions & garlic, lightly salted with pink himalayan salt
5) dinner will be a huge salad: baby greens, sweet small yellow tomatoes, raw beets, black whole beans, parsley, cooked quinoa, thin sliced red onions & lots of garlic.
Dressing: apple cider vinegar with olive oil

6) these are the supplements i take. From tyrosine, to Vit B-complex, to an a seaweed called bladderwrack, & the rest are herbs, minerals, & other homeopathic goodies :-).
I highly recommend you take extra supplements because even though we are eating raw organic veggies & fruits, as well as drinking a gallon of water, sometimes our raws are somewhat depleted from the actual nutritions we need because they have been outside of their planted earth's soiled home for a while now. So take some supplements :-)

Lucky me, where I live I have a cool view of L.A. :-)

#3 A Healthy Lifestyle Is A Goal In Itself

Welcome to the Cleanse & Fitness home remedy detox program #3 :-)

Today was my resting day. But I juiced, snacked on raw veggies, fruits & nuts. Water water water. My green juices today only consisted of spinach, kale, parsley, apple, almond milk, water, gluten free vanilla protein powder, freeze dried wheat grass, just half teaspoon of baking soda all mixed in the nutri-bullet. And drank sum yummy tummy tea (fresh mint tea). See you tomorrow :-)

#13 A Healthy Lifestyle Is A Goal In Itself

Welcome to the Cleanse & Fitness home remedy detox program #13 :-)

Always drink plenty of water (if you can't drink a gallon a day, then stay hydrated to avoid being thirsty)

1) woke up, on an EMPTY STOMACH took my liver cleanser as you can see: squeeze one lemon, 4 sprinkle dashes of cayenne pepper, 1/2 tsp of pure baking soda all mixed in drinking water. Mix all together & drink up.
So you know,

Bicarbonate is good for/as:
Ulcer Pain:
It kills cancer because it raises the PH in the body because cancer can't thrive in high or alkaline PH:
Slows down the decline of kidney function:
Antacid:
Acidosis:
Splinter removal:
Sunburn remedy:
Deodorant:
Enhanced sports performance (to be taken with caution if baking soda should be used for this reason:
Insect bites:
Teeth whitener:
Foot soak:
Detox bath:

Lemon is good for/as:

*antibacterial, antiviral, immune-boosting powers, as a weight loss aid, a digestive aid and liver cleanser. Lemons contains notably citric acid, calcium, magnesium, vitamin C, bioflavonoids, pectin, and limonene--which promotes immunity and fight infection.

Cayenne pepper is good for/as: lowers blood pressure, fights prostate cancer growth; eases upset stomach, ulcers, sore throats, spasmodic and irritating coughs, diarrhea. It's anti-flu/viral agent, an anti-inflammatory agent and helps relieve allergens, stimulates the digestive tract which increases the flow of enzyme production and gastric juices. This it aids the body’s ability to metabolize food (and toxins). It also good in relieving intestinal gas :-) &  stimulates the intestinal peristaltic motion, aiding in both assimilation and elimination (getting all the bad stuff out :-). It is good for relieving arthritis, diabetes, psoriasis and herpes-related nerve damage. Cayenne also stimulates the production of saliva, an important key to excellent digestion and maintaining optimal oral health. It helps reduce atherosclerosis, encourages fibrinolytic activity and prevents factors that lead to the formation of blood clots, all of which can help reduce the chances of a heart attack or stroke.  It's great for blood circulation, detoxifies the body, and a joint pain reliever.

Sometimes i'll take cayenned pepper in hot water and drink it fast. Oh boy! Hot hot, but so so healthy for you :-)

2) My workout: On the pilates reformer, kind of treated it like a proformer, & did something different with this body because it's hungry for variations, more muscle pnf workout stregth length, & needed to bring this heart rate up up up. Mission accomplished. That way I don't get bored.
So change it up, then gradually go all hard on your routines :-) as you get stronger & leaner. REMEMBER, THE END RESULTS DEPEND ON YOUR JOURNEY. DON'T EXPECT INSTANT CHANGE OVER NIGHT. IT TAKES WORK, IT TAKES TIME. WHY? BECAUSE THIS WAY YOU SAFELY & GRADUALLY TRAIN THE BODY ADJUST INTO A DIFFERENT (HEALTHIER) BODY EACH DAY. SO BE PATIENT, BUT DON'T STOP WORKING HARD!

 3) Kale salad:
Mixed olive oil, with apple cider vinegar, real fine grounded garlic in the nutri-bullet, himalayan pink salt, lemon.
Pured the dressing over the organic kale, mixed it all together, & yummy. Delish!
I got created with my mexicanism here. I grounded some organic pineapple with water, then added the ginger to get grounded also, then added mint to continue grounding, then served it with ice. My lunch was a happy healthy one.
Might get on the treadmill later on for 35 minutes just for shites & giggles :-)
Drink plenty of water, please and take your supplements :-)

4) For din din, definitely another kale salad with my yummy dressing as seen on picture above, & a green drink (for the recipe which includes some gluten-free vanilla protein powder, look for my recipes at the previous blogs i've been posting).

Last picture is of me sweating after running these hike trails, & now this pagoda behind me :-)
Must go up to that water tower.  Lets see if I can make it.
I made it. It's shady & cool :-)
This is what was on this all tagged up water tower which I think fit the occasion perfectly ;-)
5) And now my green drink & homemade guacamole sandwich on quinoa bread with small yellow tomato. Green drink contains parsley, kale, spinach, green apple, gluten-free vanilla protein powder, raspberries, freezes dried powdered wheat grass. My guacamole's recipe is in one of my previous blogs :-)

#11 A Healthy Lifestyle Is A Goal In Itself

Welcome to the Cleanse & Fitness home remedy detox program #11 :-)

Always drink plenty of water (if you can't drink a gallon a day, then stay hydrated to avoid being thirsty)

Ok, I'm gonna take pictures & document my day so that you can see how I do it to eat clean & get my exercise in. I'm gonna come back to this post ,number 11, each  time, to record what I am eating & what type of exercise I am doing today. As you have noticed, I keep changing my workout routines & my raw foods (except for my green drinks) because I get bored if I don't. So here we go:
1) liver cleanser: glass of drinking water, 1/2 teaspoon of pure baking soda, 4 dash sprinkles of cayenne pepper
2) my breakfast: all organic gluten-free oatmeal (no wheat), almonds, quinoa, blueberries, banana, gluten-free spiru-tein brand chocolate protein powder. Here's a pic of it before I pour the almond milk over it
2) I will teach a mat-pilates class & will use it as my strenth-training regimen for the day, then I stick around the studio to then take someone else's cardio class.
3) my green drink contains all organic: kale, brocolli, spinach, celery, parsley, blueberries, strawberries, plum, chia seeds, quinoa, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, vanilla gluten-free protein, super green powder, wheat grass powder, glutamine & carnitine powder, bee pollen, coconut oil, banana, almond milk, egg white, & that's enough foe this super green drink.

#10 A Healthy Lifestyle Is A Goal In Itself

Welcome to the Cleanse & Fitness home remedy detox program #10 :-)

Always drink plenty of water (if you can't drink a gallon a day, then stay hydrated to avoid being thirsty)

Today was a fun day.
Went costume shopping with our flamenco mentor Roberto Amaral because he's gonna have me & other performers (dancers, musicians) as guest artists. This flamenco fusion show will take place on August 11th.
I'll let you all know when those tickets are available, ok?

Anyhow, today I woke up in L.A. (Not in Mexico anymore :-()
1) Before breakfast on empty stomach, I drank my liver cleanser which has one teaspoon of pure bicarbonate sodium (make sure the baking soda doesn't have aluminium. It's gotta be pure bicarbonate sodium. Get it at your health food store), one lemon squeezed, 3 to 4 sprinkle dashes of cayenne pepper, in a cup of water, mix all together and drink up. This is so that your PH level is balanced & it's easier for your body to dispel of any toxins that cause you to not lose weight or dispel of any toxins that cause acid in the body and too much acid in the body can cause kidney stones, gout, cancer, arthritic symptoms, indigestion from too much rich foods, poor muscle control diseases, and neurological problems. So take the liver cleanser the second you wake up on an empty stomach, before you eat your healthy breakfast, okay?

2) Breakfast: had my green drink (recipe in previous posts), had two my famous gluten-free pancakes (link of the recipe on my previous post):
(I had me a green drink like this in the early morning, I having another one this evening :-)
Here for lunch had me a home made caesar salad: romain lettuce & kale, with my very own salad dressing (grounded garlic mixed with squeezed lemon juice, a dash of agave syrup, and xtra virgin olive oil), instead of parmesan cheese I used coconut, then I shredded some butternut squash. It was so yummy. You can also add beets to it. It was zesty & garlicky. So good. Here's a picture of it:

Here's this recipe of another yummy, filling salad I had made a while back. Click on this link to see the picture & the recipe: http://instagram.com/p/XsvYYdkJPx/

3) did some power sculpting Pilates for 45 minutes covering all parts of the body, & ran on the treadmill for 30 minutes.
Then had another one of my super green drinks, snacked on some organic hummus with flax seed crackers & green olives. So so good.

And this is how i eat all day. I eat every two hours in small amounts, with healthy snacks in between (no artificial nothing).
All natural, organic. Even when you're out of town on vacation, you can still eat healthy (buy your groceries, make sure you have your nutri-bullet with you if the hotel/lodging place cannot provide you with one, & you'll save money and instead enjoy your excursions (don't forget to always carry natural, fresh snacks in your purse or clip-ontravel waist pouch/bag (none of those power protein bars that have too many artificial colors & flavors).

4) tomorrow I teach a power sculpting Pilates class which I can also use as parr of my fitness regimen, then go running at least 2 to 2.5 miles either outside or at the RoseBowl (remember, I am a personal trainer & Pilates trainer, and can help you reach your goals. #9 A Healthy Lifestyle Is A Goal In Itself

Welcome to the Cleanse & Fitness home remedy detox program #9 :-)

Always drink plenty of water (if you can't drink a gallon a day, then stay hydrated to avoid being thirsty)

In Tijuana, Mexico visiting family.
Yesterday was my rest day in Mexico, we went to a juice place where the juice place used this huge ass Mexican extractor (mmmm.. i really wanted the pulp). But I chose the number 7 which had tomato, parsley, cilantro, beet, and celery. I thought it was yummy. Today we go to the beach in Rosarito to go horseback riding, or something like that. That'll be one of my fun exercises, plus I can probably play tag with my nephews and that'll be another part of my exercise time.
This morning in Tijuana, Mex my breakfast was:
1)oats, cinnamon, plain yogurt, bananas. My cousin-in-law Bertha made me a sprout salad with tomatoes & onion with squeezed lemon. Yummy!! I'm gonna see if we can all stop at the juice place again so I can get me another pressed juice. Anyhow, I am not using my mobile phone here in Mexico because I don't have that plan. But the family members here have internet, so I can at least tell you all what we can all do to continue our cleanse & fitness.
2)Tomorrow i'll get back on track with our usual. Just follow any of the cleansing and recipes on the previous posts, but before that, click on the link below to check out another pancake for breakfast recipe that you can use to enjoy some guilty-free pancakes which can be served under 100 percent organic maple syrup or agave. Yummy!!! When I get back to U.S. grounds, I'll see if i can post some pictures of my Mexican pressed juices ;-)
MY HEALTHY, PANCAKE RECIPE FOR BREAKFAST. GUILTY FREE! CLICK HERE!
WHO SAYS YOU CAN'T EAT HEALTHY FRESH VEGGIES & FRUITS WHEN YOU'RE OUT OF TOWN.
This here is some mangos with oranges & small lemons to squeeze on the fruit (i don't eat oranges, they were for family members. But I definitely devoured the mango with lemon juice squeezed on it. Niam niam ;-)
Also, some yummy salsa (gotta start putting up some salsa recipes here. Gotta do it. With grilled green onions, & either black or pinto beans, pour some freshly made salsa & niam niam. Since I don't drink soda, grab a big jug fill it with lemons, grapefruit, strwaberries, & mint leaves & drinking water. You can enjoy your meals with flavored water. Niam niam. Anyhow, a picture of this salsa that cleared my sinuses & went smooth hot down my throat
And this yummy green hot guacamole salsa. Will post up some cool guacamole recipes in the future, but will quickly let you know personal very own gucamole mix: (all fresh) 3 avocados, one tomato, cilantro, green onions, garlic, half chile serrano, 1 lime, sea salt; smash the avocados so it turns into 'til it turns mash, chop up the other veggies, mix the chopped veggies with the smashed avocados, squeeze the lime into the mix, add salt for taste but not too much, mix it all together once more, & voila. My own guacamole is to die for, & now I share it with you. This picture here is a green hot guacamole salsa which I will soon display the recipe
These here are my nephews. I have a lot of nephews & I took a picture of only a few of then next to this tractor & my cousn's girlfriend's ranch in Tijuana, Mx
Tomorrow I will go running around the rosebowl, then go train myself on the pilates apparatus. Then I'll teach a power scult mat pilates class in the evening.

#7 A Healthy Lifestyle Is A Goal In Itself

Welcome to the Cleanse & Fitness home remedy detox program #7 :-)

Always drink plenty of water (if you can't drink a gallon a day, then stay hydrated to avoid being thirsty)

Hi there, I was reading an article about how the general average american eats only 5 percent vegetables and fruit, another 5 percent depend only on starches (i.e. potatoes) , 30 percent eat non-organic animal products, & the other 60 percent eats processed goods (90 percent of which have genetically modified organisms -GMO's).

I don't have to put it any other way, that the less greens (raw vegetables and fruits) that your body eats, the more prone you are to diseases & ailments like auto-immune disorders like cancer, alopecia (which is what i have & that's one of the main reasons i can't cheat on what i put in this mouth anymore), lupus, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, and there are more than 80 auto-immune diseases. These diseases can be corrected with a simple little change. Your diet.

Phyto-nutrients (found in dark green leafy vegetables and all green vegetables) are medicine to fighting a lot of the chronic diseases that americans have.
Almost all disease that exist is caused by mal-nutrition (processed foods - packaged/canned, non-organic meats, etc).

Other health issues caused by the typical american diet is being over-weight or obesity. What happens is that when you eat processed foods, the body gets inflamed because it's a sign of an allergic reaction? An allergy is a disorder of hypersensitivity of the immune system. So the result are an inflammatory response which can vary from uncomfortable to dangerous. Ever wonder why you get bloated after eating some canned food, or a meal that came from a package, or from a meal your mom made used from unnatural & un-fresh  ingredients. When you get bloated, that's an allergic reaction, and that's the beginning if not continual sign of disease already there or disease to come.
If you are planning to have children, change your diet to a healthy one so that you don't pass on a disease cause by your not-so-wise eating habits. Or if you already have children and are starting to educate yourself on eating healthy & exercising, encourage & educate your kids to follow in those healthy habits.

Anyhow, this is how my day went & it's not over yet.
1) drank my liver cleanser (glass of water, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, 4 shakes into the water of cayenne pepper.
2) breakfast: green salad with parsley, kale, beets, garlic, green olives, bitter flower peddles, squeezed lemon & 1 table spoon of xtra virgin olive oil.
3) snack: green drink (spinach, kale, celery, carrots, apple, banana, blueberries, quinoa, chia seeds, flax seeds, chlorophyll, bee pollen, wheat grass, green powder, protein powder, coconut oil, egg white, almond milk, Carnitine, glutamine, pumpkin seed, parsley, strawberries.
4) rehearsed flamenco
5) snacked on raw seaweed with brown rice
6) green drink again
7) later on had another green drink & had some romain lettuce wraps (stuffing had: hummus, garlic, avocado, baked sweet potato).
8) nap time was nice
9) think i'll go take my co-workers latin jam workout class (also has resistance training fused with latin dance jams. This was my class, but after a while, I passed it on to her because she had always wanted to teach so why not let her take over. She's great at it ;-). I'm gonna get my lil sweet sweat on :-).
In this picture, I'm at the farmer's market getting my ruffage on :-)
Check out this link here about auto-immune disease. Also, know that most doctor M.D. training doesn't come with a knowledge of nutrition studies:

#6 A Healthy Lifestyle Is A Goal In Itself

Welcome to the Cleanse & Fitness home remedy detox program #6 :-)

Always drink plenty of water (if you can't drink a gallon a day, then stay hydrated to avoid being thirsty)

Brazil won? No worries, congrats to Brazil. But my heart will always be with Mexico. Que viva el futbol internacional!
Anyhow, back to your health (our health). I think my time in the kitchen is spent in larger amount of time than working out. Not that I don't workout, I do (whether it's Flamenco, calisthenics, power yoga, pilates, other types of cardio).
Today's plan (have executed and will continue to execute thru out the day):
1) drank liver cleanser: glass of water, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, 3 to 4 shake dashes of cayenne pepper.
2) breakfast: cold cereal in a bowl which is organic oatmeal, almond milk unsweetened organic, whole ground flax, organic blue berries, chia seeds, and half scoop of gluten-free chocolate protein powder.
3) in the picture below shows how i eat all day: green drink done in the nutri-bullet (spinach, kale, celery, carrots, apple, banana, blueberries, quinoa, chia seeds, flaxseeds, chlorophyl, spirulina, Bee pollen, wheat grass, protein powder, coconut oil, egg white, almond milk, carnatine powder, Glutamine powder, pumpkin seeds, raw parsley, strawberries. I also eat raw carrots, celery, fruit, almonds, and continue having my homemade power green drinks. And i'll have a huge salad for lunch.
If you eat too much cooked food, it activates your white blood cells because it's fighting off what it thinks to be foreign (an invader). Cooking food 50% of the time changes the natural structure; i.e. kills natural enzymes, kills the real proteins, it basically takes half the protein out (why do think there's a lot of disease.) I'm not saying you should never cook your food, at least more than half of your food should be raw.
DON'T FORGET TO DRINK YOUR WATER ALL DAY. THIS CLEANSING @ FITNESS PROGRAM IS NOT ABOUT STARVING YOURSELF, IT'S ACTUALLY ABOUT EATING HEALTHY ALL DAY & GETTING YOUR WORKOUTS IN (even if you hate exercising, ok?).
TODAY's WORKOUT: strength training with fun intervals to build endurance & stamina. Then i'm gonna go on a hike with my bud Jennifer Holmes. Can't wait.
